A museum with a view of the Golden Gate Bridge? Yes please. I have been to the Bay Area Discovery Museum multiple times with my kiddos, and each time I am in awe of its beautiful location. If I lived closer to Sausalito, I think I would be there on a weekly basis.
Located right next to gorgeous Cavallo Point, the Bay Area Discovery Museum is a fun place for children of all ages. I brought my almost 3 year-old and my 10 month old, and they had a blast! Clifford was there the day we went which made my son pretty happy. Clifford books are a staple in the bedtime routine so to see the dog in person was quite delightful for us. Discovery Hall has different featured characters, and Clifford is currently the exhibit till October 7th. When we went about a year ago, Curious George was the exhibit in Discovery Hall. Love that little monkey!
There are so many different things to do at the Bay Area Discovery Museum. My son is fan of the construction area of Lookout Cove, where he gets to put on a construction hat, shovel rocks, and play with orange cones. I think we did that for over an hour on our last visit. There is also an area called Tot Spot, where children under 42 inches can play. Tot Spot is so much fun. You can play with stuffed animals, hear frog noises, play with pretend fish in the water, lots to do for the little ones.
There is so much to discover at Bay Area Museum that we need to plan our next visit and go back. There is an art studio that we haven’t tried yet so that will be our go to spot next time we are there. I love how hands on this museum is. Did I mention the food at the cafe is also amazing?
