The town of Danville has been lighting its symbolic oak tree in the middle of Diablo Road for decades, as a way to kick off the holiday season. On Friday, November 23rd, the grand old oak tree will be awash with lights, to the delightful singing of the San Ramon Valley High School Chorus. The celebration begins at 5:15pm, but be sure to park early (free parking available in the municipal lots on Front Street and Prospect Avenue, behind the Clocktower, as well as at Community Presbyterian Church on West El Pintado Road) and enjoy the shops and restaurants in downtown Danville.
Bring the kids, bundle them up and join the Snow Angel and Father Christmas for the countdown to the 2012 Holiday Season!
