This November 16, 2013 and December 7, 2013, Stanford University will be hosting free and fun Azure Concerts for children and young people on the autism spectrum. I love their advertisement that says “Come, relax, and don’t worry about behaviors!” How often do our children get an invitation like that!
Performed at Stanford University’s Campbell Recital Hall, this year the concerts are presented by St. Lawrence String Quartet along with the tremendous efforts of Stephen Prutsman, the Stanford Jazz Workshop (www.stanfordjazz.org), and Autism Fun Bay Area (www.autismfunbayarea.org)
The November concert (4:00-4:50 pm) will feature classical music, while the December concert (also 4:00 – 4:50 pm) will focus on all things jazz! Families and friends are, of course, welcome to attend with the children. Though totally free, you must still reserve seats for the concerts, and the seats fill up fast. Go to www.azureconcerts.weebly.com to reserve your seats.
